If I knew more about race cars, I’m sure I could find a historical analogy for this one. One airline has problems, the rest don’t; one airline likes to redline their engines, the rest don’t.

It has more to do with design issues. The engine has had some noteworthy growing pains. Derated thrust takeoff can help a little, but it is just a bandaid for bigger problems.
